Professor Ümit Seviğ graduated from Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 1971.. She obtained her master degree in 1975 and PhD in 1981 from Hacettepe University in the field of public health Nursing. She worked as assistant professor from 1991 to 1994, as associate professor from 1994 to 2000  and as professor between 2000 and 2015 at Erciyes University Faculty of Health Science. Prof. Seviğ Erciyes University School of Health Directorate, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medicine-Health Sciences Education Commission school of health representative, the Higher Education Board of Nursing Commission membership and  Erciyes University Journal of Faculty of Health Sciences was the editor. has acquired various academic and administrative experiences.  Public Health Nursing, Research Nursing books section author, Intercultural Nursing book editor. He attended national and international congresses with presentations or as a speaker. She has scientific articles in national and international journals. Prof. Seviğ has been working at Near East University Faculty of Nursing since 2017.
