Özlem Akalpler completed at primary school and high school in Ankara.

She graduated from the Hacettepe University of Nursing in 1992.

She worked as a nurse at different hospital for seven year.

She continued her postgraduate education in Near East University and gained Master of Science Degree in the field of Obstetrics and  Women’s Health Nursing in 2010.

She is currently working and carrying out her further studies at the Near East University as a research assistant until 2007. After she started her doctorate education at the Near East University in 2012. There are certificates of conferences, congresses, symposiums and courses that have been attended. She is married and her two children.
