Serap Tekbaş was born in İzmir (Turkey), completed her primary and secondary school education in İzmir. She completed nursing high school education in İzmir. In 2004, she graduated from Trakya University School of Nursing. She obtained her master degree in 2009 in field of Public Health Nursing. PhD in 2014 from Trakya University in the field of Woman Health Nursing. She worked as nursing from 2000 to 2014 in Trakya University Hospital. She worked as associate professor from 2014 to 2016 Gediz University Faculty of Health Sciences. She has been working at Near East University Faculty of  Nursing since 2017.
