Psychologist Önay AKTUNÇ, she was born in Famagusta. She completed her primary and  secondary education in Famagusta and high school education in Namık Kemal High School.

In 2013, she graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, Art and Sciences Faculty, Psychology Department as a Top Student of Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Psychology Department.

In 2013, she started her masters program in Developmental Psychology in Eastern Mediterranean University, Art and Sciences Faculty, Psychology Department.

In 2013-2015, she studied as a research assistant in Psychological Counseling, Guidance and Research Center (EMU-PDRAM).

In 2015, she completed her master’s program (MS) in Developmental Psychology at Eastern Mediterranean University.

In 2015, she worked as a part-time lecturer at Near East University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing.

In 2016, she has been working as a full-time lecturer at Near East University, Faculty of Nursing since 2016.

She has many certificates of appreciation and certificate of attendance for seminars, congress, symposiums and various activities related with her profession.
