Firdevs ERDEMİR

Prof. Dr. Firdevs ERDEMİR was born in Nevşehir (Turkey), completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Kayseri. In 1982, graduated from Hacettepe University, School of Nursing and at the same year  employed as research assistant in the Cumhuriyet University School of Nursing.  In 1985, received her master’s degree in Nursing from Institute of Health Science, Nursing Program in Cumhuriyet University. In 1992, received her Ph.D. in Child Health Nursing from Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Science. In 1992, assigned as Assistant Professor at Cumhuriyet University, School of Nursing in Sivas. She had administrative and academic tasks as Chief of Department of Pediatric Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing School, Nurse Director of Cumhuriyet University Research and Education Hospital. In the years of 1994-1995, completed  the Post-Graduate Program in Gerontology and Geriatrics in Malta  conducted by United Nations and Malta University. In 1998, gained  the degree of “Associate Professor in  Child Health Nursing” . Between the years of 1998-2000, worked at Abant İzzet Baysal University, School of Health Sciences. Between the 2000-2010 years worked in the Başkent University, Health Science Faculty, Department of Nursing. During this period, she took an active role in establishment and development of the integrated education program in nursing and organization national workshops in this issue. In 2011, she assigned as Professor in Nursing at Adıyaman University, School of Health, in Adıyaman. She started to work at Near East University, Faculty of Health Sciences in 2016. During her carrier she has focus on the studies related nursing concepts, nursing classification systems, nursing informatics as well as general nursing concepts and education.
