Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek SARPKAYA GÜDER

Dilek SARPKAYA GÜDER was born in 1985 in Northern Cyprus. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Northern Cyprus.
She graduated from Hacettepe University School of Nursing in 2007. Then, after working as a nurse in a private hospital for a year, she started working as a research assistant at the Near East University Faculty of Health Sciences.
In 2010, she completed her master's degree in Obstetrics and Women's Health Nursing at the Near East University Institute of Health Sciences.
In 2018, she defended her doctoral thesis titled "The Effect of Birth Preparation Education Given to Primiparous Women on the Fear of Birth and Its Results" in the field of Obstetrics and Women's Health Nursing at the Near East University Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Program.
She received the title of doctor.
In August 2018, he was appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Maternity and Women's Health Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, by the Near East University Academic Promotion and Appointment Commission, by meeting all the necessary conditions.
Between 2011 and 2019, she worked as a Pregnancy Pilates and Birth Preparation instructor in gyms.
As of 2021, she started to work as Deputy Dean at the Near East University Faculty of Nursing.
In December 2022, she was awarded the title of associate professor in the same position by the Near East University Academic Promotion and Appointment Commission.
She was appointed as a member of the Near East University Scientific Research and Ethics Board in December 2022.
She has been serving as the Head of the Department of Maternity and Women's Health Nursing since July 2023.
Since November 2023, she has been serving in the management and scientific board of Near East University Gender Research and Application Center (TOCAM) and in the management and training/consultancy board of the Dean of Students Sexual Health Service Unit.
Articles in national and international indexed journals; Assoc. Prof., who has speeches and presentations and paper awards at professional conferences/seminars and public trainings, congresses and symposiums. Dr. Dilek Sarpkaya Güder's academic interests include sexual health, reproductive health, women's studies, birth preparation, pregnancy, breastfeeding and nursing education.
She is married and has a child.
