Near East University’s Faculty of Nursing held an orientation event on Tuesday, September 23, for first-year students starting the 2025-2026 academic year. The event was held to help students adapt to university life and learn about the faculty and department. The program began with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz emphasized that the nursing profession is a fundamental field that serves human health and welcomed the students to the faculty. Faculty Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Totur Dikmen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Sarpkaya Güder also wished the students success and shared information about academic processes and faculty opportunities.
The orientation presentation was given by Research Assistant Gaye Bagci. The presentation provided students with detailed information about the course schedule, laboratory practices, advising system, examination and evaluation processes, student clubs, and faculty rules. It also aimed to support students’ adaptation to the university by introducing the academic and social opportunities offered by Near East University.
The event concluded with questions answered and an introductory chat. The orientation program provided new students with the opportunity to become more familiar with the Faculty of Nursing and Near East University.
