As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month , a seminar titled “ Breast Cancer Awareness Training ” was organized at Karpaz Vocational High School, Gazimağusa Turkish Maarif College, Namık Kemal High School, and İskele Trade High School between October 1–31, 2025, in collaboration with the Cancer Patients Assistance Association and Near East University. The seminar was attended by Near East University Faculty of Nursing faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Sarpkaya Güder (Department of Maternity and Women’s Health Nursing, Head of Sexual Health Services Unit), Asst. Prof. Dr. Dilay Necipoğlu (Public Health Nursing, Lecturer), and Spec. Nursing Demet Yalçın Özsoylu (Maternity and Women’s Health Nursing, Lecturer). As part of the event, the students, accompanied by their guidance counselors, received informative seminars on risk factors and symptoms of breast cancer, the importance of early diagnosis , and how to properly perform breast self-examination .
